Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains what personal information Power Userful LLC collects through this website, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you contact us through this website, we collect what you choose to give us: your name, your email address, and the content of your message.
Our hosting provider also processes the standard technical information that any website receives in order to serve a page — such as your IP address, your browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. We use it to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse, including limiting how often the contact form can be submitted and filtering automated submissions. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
How we use it
We use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry, to provide the services you engage us for, and to keep an accurate record of our correspondence. If you write to us by email or contact us in another way, we keep those messages for the same reasons.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information. We do not use it for advertising, we do not disclose it to advertisers or data brokers, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.
We rely on service providers — including our hosting provider and the providers of the business systems we use to receive and store inquiries — who process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where it is stored, and how long
Inquiries and correspondence are stored in our own business systems, hosted in the United States. We keep them for as long as they remain relevant to an actual or prospective business relationship. You may ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request that it be corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Power Userful LLC is based in California, and California residents hold these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended.
We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. To exercise any other right, email info@poweruserful.com. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
Security
This site is served only over an encrypted connection. Information you send us is protected in transit and stored under access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
This site is directed at businesses and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
The Power Userful Microsoft add-in (retired)
We previously published a Microsoft add-in, which had its own privacy notice. That add-in has been retired and is no longer distributed. Its privacy terms are preserved here for anyone who still holds a copy or an old link:
When the add-in was installed, all user information stayed within your own Microsoft 365 tenancy. The add-in only displayed information in a site of your choosing, and in a way you determined. Microsoft may have shared information with us about the purchaser, but only to the extent and for the purpose defined by Microsoft and their app store.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Questions about this policy, or about information we hold, go to info@poweruserful.com.
